Founded by Jessica Switzer Green, JG Switzer is a Sonoma County design house devoted to natural fibers and making by hand. What began as a mission to create exceptional blankets has grown to encompass pillows, furniture, bedding, fabrics and objects for the home, all designed, crafted or finished in the studio’s California workshop.
Switzer Green pioneered “Painting With Wool,” a process of hand-felting raw wool to create new forms from an ancient material. Working with wool, linen, silk, cashmere, organic cotton, mohair and alpaca, the studio places natural materials at the heart of its practice. As a Fibershed Producer Member, JG Switzer sources much of its wool within 100 miles of the workshop and raises Wensleydale and Romney sheep on its own farm.
