Carl Erickson founded Erickson Glass Works in Bremen, Ohio with his brother in 1943. While apprenticing under his father, a Swedish emigrant, as a teenager, he developed a high level of craftsmanship which led him to place a strong emphasis on quality. Specializing in fine free hand-blown glass, his creations often featured a distinctive controlled bubble detail.
