Brazilian designer Tatiana Queiroz is the founder of TAAT, her design studio based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Trained in fine arts and jewelry design, Queiroz brings a sculptural sensibility to objects for the home, exploring the intersection of object design and sculpture through an emphasis on pure form and balanced lines.
Working with soapstone, a natural material locally sourced in Brazil, Queiroz transforms the weight and texture of stone into forms that feel both elemental and refined. Often finished with delicate brass details, her work plays with contrasts—roughness and femininity, volume and lightness—giving an ancient material a timeless, contemporary expression.
